02/14/10

Happy Valentines Day everyone. Well here we are going into day five. The DA will start calling his witnesses tomorrow. Greg's defense attorneys have been working very hard and it shows. A lot of people have asked if we are going to the courthouse on Tuesday morning. I believe that the DA has passed on his chance to do the right thing and join us in our plea to free Greg. On Tuesday the judges will be reviewing the evidence and paperwork in the case. We must trust that they will see that Greg is innocent and decide in his favor on Wednesday. I do not see the need at this point to go down to the courthouse. I plan on going back to work for a full day on Tuesday. Then hopefully I can get an appointment to visit Greg on Tuesday evening. The part of the jail he is in has no access to phones so he has not been able to call. When we get together at the hearing on Monday maybe we can come up with a little get together somewhere on Tuesday. If you haven't checked it out yet click on our video link up to the right of this page.

What an unbelievable story! Many congratulations from The Netherlands!!!
I will never be able to understand how mistakes like this can be made or even try to understand what your lives have been like all these years.

As long as there will be men on this planet, there also will be law-culture-rules. As the animals we differ from them because we have emotions and feelings. This thrives us to do some fantastic and horrific things. Judges are also human and with a lot of work the risk of error is also getting bigger. This is for me a way of putting things in perspective without reacting on my very first emotion …. because things often tend to go wrong then! I’m very surprised that there is such a comity in a country as the USA. I want to congratulate Greg Taylor with his new found/granted freedom. I want to thank and congratulate family and friends who stood by Greg Taylor all these years ….. it’s a miracle but there is still some justice in this world. I do hope that this spark caused by this comity will start a flame and can be shared throughout the world (like the Olympic flame-torch) to learn from this and maybe second guess doubtful trails/convictions done n the past which can be corrected in the present/future! For Greg Taylor my firm wish is that your lawyer will get you a nice settlement for those 17 years of life in freedom that you missed out on! (Angelo from The Netherlands)
