Thank you Mrs. Conyers for the nice letter you wrote Greg. We printed it off and mailed it to him. We still haven't heard what the DA plans to do in Greg's case. They should have all the files by now and I would imagine it would still take a while to review everything. Lets hope that they can see that he is innocent soon and do the right thing by helping to get him out quickly. Right before Greg's Innocence Commission hearing there was a man released in Forsyth county on DNA evidence for a rape he was convicted of 14 years ago. Tom Keith (district attorney) actually appeared before the judge to ask for his release. This is a great example of the system making a mistake but going to great lengths to correct itself. The District attorneys office cooperated with the NC Center on Actual Innocecnce in getting the DNA tested.Once the wrong man was set free they started trying to find the person that actually committed the crime. We can hope the Wake County DA's office will follow this lead and help get Greg released quickly. My Dad and I are going to visit Greg tommorow and I'll let everybody know how he's doing. If you want me to tell Greg anything just send me a comment.

Thank you, Eddie!!!
We know that release has not been granted yet, and have to keep reminding ourselves of that.
Please tell Greg that Bo and I pray together for him every night. Our prayers are with my words since Bo's correct speech has not returned, but they would be in his spoken words, too, if he could say them. I know he prays for release for Greg silently.
I pray that the time will go quickly for Greg, and I know that is asking a lot. We have learned a lot about freedom and isolation through Bo's stroke. His mind, memory, and all that he wants to say is just as good as it was prior to the stroke, but his speech, a problem called Aphasia, has his words locked inside. He now speaks a foreign language known only to him. Speech and physical limitations have given him an understanding of the feelings of isolation and the loss of freedom. I say all of that just to say that he probably has a greater understanding of what you are going through than any of us. We love you, Greg!
We are praying about your eye condition, too!
Hey Eddy.
Tell Greg he owes me 2 letters, but I'll let him slide since his eye is bothering him. I know that will be cleared up soon!
I'm sure he's thinking about writing me about that whacky Carolina game yesterday!
Tell him I love him.
Thanks for all you do Eddy!
Here's a new article I found online about the Commission and Dad's case.
I hope the DA realizes that people are keeping up with this case, and an innocent man shouldn't be locked up for any longer than he already has.
Oops, the link might help!
